Moroccan-Canadian artist Mehdi Bahmad releases “Khôl (Remixes)” EP. The eclectic and euphoric mix is a celebration of musical worlds coming together, with the artist’s distinctive art-pop blending seamlessly with 2020’s finest pop and remixers, and a splash of 70’s funk.
Following the surreal past few months, Bahmad curated these four musical gems to bring joy to people’s days spent at home. He carefully crafted the hooky, dance-oriented and empowering mixtape while intensively writing and producing new music. Today, Bahmad released the remix EP to take “Khôl” to the next level. And the party doesn’t stop here - there are many more surprises to come.
The five original tracks including the Vogue premiered single “Buy Me (a Bird)” were recorded in Montreal, Canada, produced by the Lebanese electro duo Wake Island and mixed by Seb Ruban. The remixers Bahmad chose include GOLDHOUSE (Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Cheat Codes, Sam Smith, MØ, Martin Garrix...), King Arthur (Tove Lo, Janelle Monàe, Bastille, Daya,...), LUXXURY (Melanie Martinez, Kitsuné, Future Disco...) and the polish producer P.A.F.F., spotlighted by Diplo during his radio show “Diplo and Friends” on BBC Radio 1.
